In 1872 crimping, waves produced using a hot iron, were invented and were in trend for a long time. Even today crimping is the most preferred hairstyle for young girls. In the 20th century perm was invented, a hairstyle with a permanent wave. Thereafter new trends, fashion and technical possibilities brought in various other hairstyles to add to the human personality.
